Dj Aakmael is a Producer/Dj, who produces house, hip hop and R&B tracks. Being a true music head, Aakmael has a very rich background of music in his blood including Hip Hop, R'n'B, House, Reggae, Classical, Opera, and Jazz. His family has a history of musical talent, from his Great Uncle being a music teacher/composer for HU for some time, to his mother who sang tunes from morning to night, to his father who played trombone in a local band, and they both collected vast amount of records.
Aakmaels’ personal musical journey as a DJ started at age 16 doing parties, school jams, weddings, house parties, etc., playing everything from hip hop to rnb. After college, his musical horizon broadened even more when he started playing house, reggae and classics in his sets. Aakmael also spun Deep House on local radio station WDCE 90.1fm, and show he held down for about 20 years. He has enjoyed some success with his releases/remixes out on Bumpin City Records, Unified Records, Stoupendous Music, Manuscript Records, Liberate Recoedings, Earthrumental, Plan B, Animus Rhythm, Cyberjamz Records, Uzuri and his own label Unxpozd which are available at many fine digital stores online.
Aakmael also continues to produce new music/remixes and network regularly with other labels and producers in the game. As far as current productions, Aakmael produces Deep House Music and Hip Hop. A sample of some things can be sent upon request.
