2012 UK Tour

Having played in over 75 countries around the world, Dave has travelled more than most to help spread the gospel of acid house but in recent years this has increasingly been at the expense of his native Britain.

Therefore, in an attempt to go someway to re-addressing the balance, Dave will be playing a run of eight UK shows during March & April.

"I'm always getting grief on Facebook and Twitter from Brits about how few gigs I do at home so I thought I'd do something about it and agreed to do several nights back on home turf over the spring" said Dave.

The tour will take in some very special nights as the likes of Renaissance & The Rhumba Club celebrate their 20th and 21st anniversaries respectively plus Dave returns to play at The Gallery at the Ministry Of Sound in London and also at the legendary Cream in Liverpool for the first time this century! As Dave concludes, "I'm really looking forward to these parties.  As a DJ, getting to travel the world is one of the greatest perks of the job but as the saying goes, there's no place like home".

Toolroom Selector Compilation

After Dave's widely acclaimed 2011 Renaissance Masters compilation, his next mix will be for the Toolroom Selector series, a special digital only release made up of selected tracks from the label's extensive catalogue. "I did a mix for Mark Knight's Radio show last year when I did the 'Mighty Ming' track for them with Funkagenda and included lots of tracks from the label.

It got me thinking about what a huge array of music they own and how easy it would be to do a mix that showed a different side of the label", explained Dave. "Something that hasn't really been done on the Selector series before and that people don't immediately associate with Toolroom". The results are due for release in June.

New Production Collaborations Galore!

Dave: "I'm usually rubbish at New Years resolutions but this year I was determined to keep at least one and that was to double my studio output of productions and remixes. And although it's probably more down to my lack of productivity in recent years rather than my ability to keep a promise to myself, I'm happy to say I'm almost there already".

The first fruits of Dave's January studio sabbatical will be a collaboration with Guy Mantzur, resident DJ at The Cat & Dog Club in Tel Aviv. Entitled 'K9', it's a slab of chunky techno that will be coming out on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat label in a couple of months. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Further projects with Funkagenda, Stelios Vassiloudis, Livetek & One Million Toys are all already underway. When it rains, it pours! Watch this space.
